Soldiers Point Marina is carbon neutral
Soldiers Point Marina provides the perfect hub for exploring the magnificent waterways and hinterland of Port Stephens - a region covering nearly 1,000 square kilometres of scenic diversity, mild weather and extensive tourist facilities.
Totally rebuilt to world-class standards, the marina offers boat owners a state-of-the-art base, with a quality of services and facilities rarely seen on the eastern seaboard.
The Marina is managed in an environmentally sensitive fashion, with a management team which recognises its responsibility in conserving this pristine environment for future generations.
In this environmental fashion, Soldiers Point Marina has become one of the leaders of the Clean Marina Program, a program which endeavours to protect our coastal and inland waterways. Soldiers Point Marina has now taken the next step and has become the first marina in Australia to certify NoCO2 under the Low Carbon Marina Initiative - Australia's first carbon neutral marina!
This required Soldiers Point Marina to undergo a comprehensive carbon footprint analysis with the Carbon Reduction Institute, and a subsequent implementation of customised carbon reduction strategies and the purchase of certified carbon credits.
We congratulate Soldiers Point Marina for taking this important step for a more sustainable future!
